The drive through Wisconsin provided a welcome relief from the aptly named Great Plains (sp?). The landscape ranged from lakes and forests to rolling hills and dairy farms. The only problem was the difficulty in capturing that feeling for the story. Eventually I just gave up, so the picture of McDonalds will have to do.

My sister and I discussed whether to take the scenic route along the Mississippi on the Minnesota side or the (perhaps) faster drive along the freeway in Wisconsin. I have no idea what swayed us at the moment of truth, but I veered left when the time came. It was immediately apparent that we made the right choice when we were rewarded with breathtaking views of the river valley. It was at this point that I decided to play "Been Caught Stealing" over and over again. I have no explanation, but a video of the four of us would be priceless I'm sure.
