Friday night was capped by a run to McDonald's for a happy meal and a fat meal, storm stories on the weather channel - fascinating for a seven year old and tolerable for me, and capped by the inevitable cattle call for next year's convention registration. There simply has to be a better way. To Springfield's credit they had plenty of clipboards, pens, forms, and volunteers, so things went smoothly if slowly. Saturday morning Justin and I spent a leisurely morning enjoying the pool before arming ourselves with a stack of disks and the digital camera and heading to the show field once again. The weather was cooperative with an unusually cool (for St. Louis) July day, and the sight of all the popular vote cars wrapped around the convention center was awesome - if overwhelming.
Show time!
