Classical Pontiac 1999 POCI National Convention
After a few circuits of the show field I caught up with a group of several of the CP regulars and finally had the presence of mind to get a photograph. My apologies to those who were left out. Perhaps next time having learned a few things I'll be better organized. Last, but certainly not least, I managed to stop Tony DeFoster as he was preparing to leave. Ironically he was the one most enthusiastic about everyone getting together, and another couple of minutes and he and I wouldn't have made a connection. I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but once again I had a nice conversation. I want to take a moment to thank all of those who took the time to talk to me at the show. Everyone was hospitable and the positive feedback I received was amazing.

As one by one the engines were fired up and the cars scattered we made our way back to the rental car knowing that another trip was almost history. From my vantage the show seemed to be a success in turnout, organization, activities, and, just barely, weather. Congratulations go out to the Western New York POCI folks who labored to make this year's convention enjoyable. Having participated in the Show Me Regional put on by the chapters in Missouri I can only imagine the effort required to pull off the national convention!
