The car was originally bought by my uncle in June of 1969; one of about 7,000 produced
in 1969. I clearly remember him driving this awesome vehicle up to our house and
hearing the rumble of the engine. Even back then, I knew I had to have this car one day.
About 20 odd years later, it happened.
To-date, the engine and carburetion has been completely overhauled, radiator re-cored, gas tank restored, brake lines and brakes redone, shocks and springs replaced. The body, roof and interior are in good shape. I still keep the original bill of sale, delivery checklists and warranty card (although I suspect that Pontiac may no longer honor any repairs...). Now for some stats: Engine: 400 YS Carb: 4 BBL QuadraJet Colour: 69 Palladium Silver Trim: Black Options: Tinted Windshield Glass Front Compartment Console H.D. Front & Rear Suspension Dual Rear Axle with 3.55 ratio and Posi Front disc brakes 3 speed automatic Power steering Retractable headlamp covers AM pushbutton radio and power antenna I can't seem to find the original bill, but I believe the car originally sold for between $3,000 to $4,000. Questions or comments about this car? George. |
