HTML

HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language. All that means is that you embed instructions to the browser (Netscape, Internet Explorer, AOL, etc.) within the text you wish to display.

I'm not going to cover all of the HTML commands here, there are plenty of sources on the 'net and at your local bookstore. I want to give you a brief introduction to allow you to customize your Pontiac page without reading 500 pages of dry computereaze.

Here are the most basic formatting commands:

<b> Begin bold text
</b> End bold text
Type this This is how you make <b>these words</b> bold.
To get this This is how you make these words bold.
<i> Begin italic text
</i> End italic text
Type this This is how you make <i>these words</i> italic.
To get this This is how you make these words italic.
<br> Force carriage return, pressing RETURN does not start a new line!
Type this This is how you force<br>a new line.

<center> Begin centered text
</center> End centered text
Type this This is how you make <center>these words</center> centered.
